The Chicken and Egg Dilemma of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Which comes first, and how can we move the needle? This discussion will define the difference between equity, inclusion, and diversity, and will share what other firms in the AE industry are doing to advance this important conversation.
Learning objectives:

- Share knowledge about what other firms in the AE industry are doing to promote and support IDE initiatives
- Brainstorm opportunities and share strategies that participants can take back to their own practices.

As we all adapt to the new conditions presented by the global pandemic, WIA is adjusting how we deliver events and serve our members. We plan to continue holding events online until it is safe to gather in person once again, most likely into 2021. Switching to online events has had some great benefits - broader accessibility for presenters and members, more flexibility in scheduling, and new modes of interaction. So far we have been happy to offer free events, however, this is not sustainable for the long term outlook of present conditions. Starting this month, WIA will begin charging $5.00 for online events. This will allow WIA to continue to build capital for ongoing monthly events, as well as for larger projects in the future.
We thank you for continuing to support us throughout this period of change, and hope to continue supporting you with educational and inspiring events!
